I have a confession to make. I'm a softy. I have to work really hard sometimes to hold back the tears. One of the ways I do this is to watch for Kathy's tears and then tease her a little to lighten the mood. "Are you crying? Ahhhhhhh! It's not real. It's just a movie." Don't feel too bad for her though, she does the same thing to me. In fact, we now just glance at each other and laugh, both denying that we're fighting the tears back.
You can learn alot about someone by their tears. How tender their heart is. What they are compassionate about. What they are passionate about. Tears reveal so much about a person and God knows every tear that makes it's way from our eyes and down our cheeks. There is not a tear that falls without His notice.
Psalm 56:8 (ESV) You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?
Our tears are all noticed by God. He collects them in a bottle. He not only notices them, He notes them in His book. God knows what each and every tear was for. He knows what moves us, hurts us, frustrates us, touches us.
So the question is...Why don't we cry out to Him more often?
