Not In Your Hands

Black Friday was very relaxing! We stayed home and watched a bunch of T.V. on the DVR. It's really hard to believe 2007 is coming to an end. This year has moved at turbo speed.

If you know me well you know I love to tease animals. Not in a serial killer way though. I just love to play with them. The stories I could tell. This bad dude weighs in at 15+ pounds and is very capable of taking care of himself. I'll be coming back from mom and dad's place with scratches and bite marks on my hands and arms, but it will have been worth it.

Burgess was an abandoned kitten found in the bushes but has grown into the king of the Trimble jungle.

I've passed this church a hundred times and always thought about photographing it. Tonight was the night. I'll spend some time post processing these images later but I wanted to share one tonight.

I've been speaking on 'The Cross of Christ' for the past several Sundays. It is amazing how the Holy Spirit takes the message of the cross and pierces the hearts of men.

The more you ponder the cross, as a believer, the more you love God and despise sin.

I heard Lester Roloff preach from this passage in the summer of 1982, just a few months before he was killed in a plane crash. He broke out into song in the middle of his message and sang the words to this verse. This song has never escaped my memory!

I met with my friend Harold Davis on Monday evening to photograph the Golden Gate Bridge from the Berekely Pier.

It is such a blessing to have a photographer of his caliber take time to mentor a newbie like myself. I try to soak up every bit of information this guy shares. Harold has a great blog called Photoblog 2.0
