I'm Rolling Again!

753316355_9dd086fd67 I am back on the Bike this week and it feels good! It seems like everything in the universe has conspired over the past few months to keep me away from my bicycle. Tonight I just decided to put everything on hold for 30 minutes and do a quick 7 mile ride. I feel great now, let's see how the morning goes though.

I may start a poll here on the blog to help me decide what color bike shorts to purchase. JUST KIDDING! I would never inflict that kind of visual torture on the people of American Canyon.

I have been following Governor Mike Huckabee's Presidential campaign and I'm very impressed with this guy! He's a retired Southern Baptist pastor. He's not shy about what he believes. He's pro-life. And today I discovered that he has lost over 100 lbs in the last year or so. I'm impressed and inspired. CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO!

Demotivational Posters

Success_1 I ran across a funny website today. Despair Inc. Laughed till it hurt! No, I'm not depressed...just thought it was funny. I think the funny (sad) thing about it is that there are really people who have the attitudes expressed on these posters.

Here's a thought! What if we all determined to be 'dreamers' rather than 'crushers'?

Don't forget! Thursday night is Financial Peace University at 7:00 p.m. here at Harvest. This is the 'Free Preview' so come check it out!

Adults 77 - Teens 7

Footballncaa_1001

We had a great time at Turkey Bowl II yesterday! The adults were just unstoppable. 77-7 was the final score. Seriously, I was very pleased with how well the teens handled this humiliating defeat. I did hear a few of them talking about "next year" though. The ones talking were the 17 year olds who plan on playing for the adults next year. The future does look bright for the teens though. I was shocked to see how well Bubba, Daniel, and Mike played. These three definitely have game and will be tougher to keep up with over the next few years.

Pictures from the Turkey Bowl will be posted to www.harvestfwb.com later today.

It's Tough Being A Cowboy

Ladyblog_1Our miniature horse, Outlaw's Lady, decided she wanted to play early this morning. She can be very persuasive (obnoxious) when she wants something, so there I was in the yard, 2:30 in the FREEZING morning , robe, slippers, and cowboy hat. The neighbors probably thought I was drunk, and the drunks probably thought they were REALLY drunk. "Hey look! There's a BIG cowboy with a LITTLE horse." It's tough being a cowboy.

I'm looking forward to Sunday! I will be speaking on "How To Avoid A Blue Christmas". So many people battle depression and the holidays are sometimes the worst time for this. Sundays are very special! Christ rose from the dead on a Sunday and Sundays have been special ever since. Sunday is the first day of the week, a fresh start.

The teens undoubtedly face a bitter defeat tomorrow afternoon as they face off against the adults in Turkey Bowl II. I can hardly wait for the sweet taste of victory. The weather looks good so I don't think the teens will have any excuses not to play.

Men, are you as excited as I am about "MAN NIGHT" coming up soon? We are having an evening of Pizza and Prayer on December 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. If you have not yet got your hands on the CD I have been passing out, let me know. I'll make sure you have one. The CD contains a message entitled "Man Up!" by Perry Noble. Great message! You can listen to the message online by clicking Here We'll talk about his message on man night.
