I got word from the Bradley's today that Henry's surgery was successful. The doctors had planned on replacing a valve in his heart but were able to repair instead of replace. Praise the Lord!
I received our newsletter for this Sunday last night and the news was already on the front page, "Henry Bradley's Surgery Was A Success". I told Shelly, his daughter-in-law, that that meant everything would be alright, after all it was already in print. Today, I was thinking about Hebrews 11:1, "What is Faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see."
Outlaw's Lady, our miniature horse who has been waking me up early lately has redeemed herself this weekend. She is participating in 3 Living Nativities around town this weekend. Lots of kids smiling and free hay! She is thrilled!
The Harvest youth are coming over tonight for BBQ ribs. They are doing their annual progressive dinner tonight. Our youth leaders are doing an awesome job. This Sunday night is a special youth service and I am excited about getting to speak to the teens.
Finally, I want to remind all of our men that Tuesday night is "MAN NIGHT: Pizza and Prayer" and I am fired up about getting together with the men of Harvest! We have some great men in our church and it's time to get organized and busy serving the Lord. Be there! Bring a friend! Let's have a wonderful evening together.
Right now though...I have to go hide some BBQ ribs before the teens get here and devour them all.
